In short
A superyacht clears in at Benoa through four gates: it flies the "Q" flag on approach, presents a valid CAIT, has its PIB import notification processed at this first port, and Immigration stamps every passport. An Indonesian agent files online about 48 hours ahead; guests enter as tourists on a 60-day visa.
Reaching Benoa
What happens when a superyacht arrives
Benoa is Bali's main commercial port and yacht gateway, handling vessels from roughly 40m upward. A 60–90m yacht arrives into a working port, not a purpose-built superyacht terminal — at least until the new marina's later phases.
On approach the yacht raises the yellow "Q" flag. Nothing and no one leaves until health, customs and immigration have boarded and released it.
Chartering a locally-flagged, already-cleared yacht skips almost every step on this page.

Good to know
Benoa clearance questions
Do I need an agent to clear in at Benoa?
Realistically, yes. The guarantee letter must come from a licensed Indonesian company, and the agent files the paperwork online about 48 hours ahead.
What fees apply?
The one hard historical fee cited is a US$150 CAIT processing fee. Anything else your agent quotes is service, not a fixed government tariff.
How long can a foreign yacht stay?
The Cruising Permit allows up to three years in-country. CAIT and PIB extend in three-month increments up to three unbroken years.
Is the concierge a customs broker?
No. We are not a customs broker, lawyer or immigration authority. We coordinate the licensed people who file the CAIT and meet the boarding officers.
