Bali Superyacht Hire from Benoa: Rates, Crew & Booking

**Bali superyacht hire means chartering a fully crewed engine-driven yacht for a private day or half-day from Benoa Harbour, Bali’s only deep-water yacht gateway. As of 2026, indicative full-day hire runs from roughly USD 2,500 to well over USD 20,000 per yacht, crew and captain included, with fuel, catering and water toys itemised separately.**

Azure Helm is a concierge brand operated by Bali Premium Trip. Where a yacht is not owned outright, we arrange it through vetted licensed partners and handle the logistics so you deal with one team, not five. Below is exactly how superyacht hire works from Benoa, what drives the price, and how to lock a date.

What does “superyacht hire” actually cover in Bali?

Hire is per-yacht, not per-guest. You reserve the whole vessel, its captain and its crew for a fixed window, then choose the route and the extras. A standard Bali superyacht hire from Benoa includes:

  • The vessel for your chosen block (half-day or full day)
  • Captain and deck crew, plus a steward or hostess on larger yachts
  • Base fuel allocation for a Nusa Dua, Uluwatu-cliff or Nusa Penida/Lembongan day range
  • Standard safety and navigation clearances for Bali’s day-charter waters

What sits on top of the base rate: premium catering, imported wine and spirits, extended fuel for longer runs, jet-skis and seabobs, AV and sound for events, floral or celebration styling, and dedicated concierge coordination. We itemise every add-on in the quote so nothing lands as a surprise at the dock.

Benoa Harbour is Bali’s main commercial port and primary yacht gateway, handling vessels from roughly 40m upward, and it sits about 30 minutes by road from Ngurah Rai International Airport. A planned flyover is expected to cut that transfer toward five minutes once operational, according to industry reporting.

How much does Bali superyacht hire cost?

No public superyacht day-charter tariff exists for Bali, so the bands below are indicative concierge ranges, not fixed published rates. They are date-stamped as of 2026 and subject to change with season, vessel and fuel. IDR figures use an approximate 16,000 per USD reference and move with the exchange rate.

Hire band Duration Indicative rate (USD, per yacht) Indicative rate (IDR, per yacht) Typical fit
Half-day cruiser ~4 hours from USD 1,500 from IDR 24,000,000 Sunset run, small group, Nusa Dua bay
Full-day cruiser ~8 hours from USD 2,500 from IDR 40,000,000 Nusa Penida/Lembongan day, couples or families
Premium motor-yacht (full day) ~8 hours USD 6,000–12,000 IDR 96,000,000–192,000,000 Celebrations, corporate groups, island-hop
Superyacht (full day) ~8 hours USD 12,000–20,000+ IDR 192,000,000–320,000,000+ Large events, ultra-premium day, 40m+ vessels

For context, Asia Global Yachting cites Bali day charters from around USD 2,500 per day, and the Sailo marketplace shows Bali boats averaging near USD 1,230 per day, ranging from roughly USD 319 up to about USD 7,272. Nearby Labuan Bajo luxury charters run from around USD 1,900 per night to USD 20,000-plus for ultra-premium vessels. Larger Indonesian superyachts, per the Luxury Charter Group, are usually quoted at weekly rates rather than day blocks, so a superyacht day hire is priced as a bespoke concierge arrangement. All figures are as of 2026 and subject to change.

What’s included versus what’s itemised?

Included in base hire Itemised on top
Yacht for the booked block Premium catering and beverage packages
Captain and crew Extended fuel beyond base range
Base fuel allocation Jet-skis, seabobs, snorkel and water toys
Standard safety gear Event AV, sound and celebration styling
Route within day-charter waters Concierge extras (photographer, transfers, florals)

Where can you cruise on a Benoa day hire?

Day-cruise range from Benoa covers three broad zones. Transit times depend on the vessel’s speed and sea state, so we quote ranges rather than fixed minutes:

  • Nusa Dua and the Bukit resort belt — sheltered water, closest to base, ideal for sunset and proposal hires
  • Uluwatu and the Bukit south-coast cliffs — dramatic cliff backdrops for photography and celebration charters
  • Nusa Penida — Crystal Bay and the manta sites, a fuller full-day itinerary
  • Nusa Lembongan — beach clubs and snorkelling, popular for family and group day hires

A half-day hire typically stays inside the Nusa Dua–Uluwatu arc. A full day opens up the offshore islands. Your captain sets the running order based on tide, wind and what you want most from the day.

How does the booking work?

Bali superyacht hire is a coordinated process, not an instant checkout. Here is the sequence Bali Premium Trip runs for you.

  1. Enquire with your date, group size and occasion. Message the concierge on WhatsApp at 6281128590000. Tell us the date, guest count, and whether it’s a sunset, proposal, birthday or corporate hire.
  2. Receive a shortlist and firm quote. We match two or three suitable yachts to your brief and return a per-yacht quote with the base rate and every add-on itemised, so you compare like for like.
  3. Confirm the vessel and pay the deposit. Once you choose, a deposit secures the date and vessel. The balance schedule and cancellation terms are set out in writing before anything is charged.
  4. Provisioning and clearance. We arrange catering, water toys, event styling and any required paperwork, and confirm the Benoa departure point and airport-transfer timing.
  5. Board and cruise. Your captain and crew meet you at Benoa. Passports are stamped by Immigration at Benoa Harbour for foreign-flagged private yachts; for a standard chartered day hire on a locally arranged vessel, we brief you on exactly what to bring.

Provisioning is where a concierge earns its keep. We coordinate the galley order, chill the right wine, stage the celebration setup and load the toys before you arrive, so your window on the water is spent on the water.

Do foreign yachts need special permits?

For a standard Bali day hire on a locally arranged vessel, you turn up and cruise; we handle the operational side. The heavier regulation applies to foreign private yachts entering Indonesian waters, and it is worth knowing what governs the fleet.

Foreign private yachts require an Indonesian Cruising Permit, locally the “Vessel Declaration,” which functions as a customs temporary-import permit allowing a yacht up to three years in-country. The agent typically applies online about 48 hours before arrival. Since the post-3-December-2011 rules, a customs bond was replaced by a guarantee letter from a licensed Indonesian company. The PIB import notification is processed at the first port, the CAIT is the security clearance, and both extend in three-month increments up to three unbroken years; departure uses a PEB export notification. The only hard historical fee cited in sources is a US$150 CAIT processing fee.

Arrival requires passports valid 180-plus days beyond the stay, a CAIT, and a tourist visa. Indonesia offers a 60-day tourist visa, available as visa-on-arrival for most nationalities, and crew and guests are treated as tourists. Yachts fly the “Q” quarantine flag pending health, customs and immigration inspection. Cruising-permit documents include the certificate of registration, insurance with wreck-removal cover, crew and guest lists, last port clearance, ship’s particulars, a crew-effects list, a NIL list for restricted items, and declared controlled-drug and first-aid contents.

Which berth will your yacht use?

Benoa Marina Bali describes itself as the only exclusive marina dock in Bali specifically serving yachts, and states it is officially registered and licensed by Indonesian authorities. Historically, Bali Marina held boats up to about 30m with room for two 35m yachts at once, and larger vessels used port-authority-controlled alongside jetties at Benoa.

That capacity is expanding fast. According to industry reporting, on 22 May 2025 PT Marina Development Indonesia with PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Pelindo) broke ground on Bali Benoa Marina, described as Indonesia’s first full-service international yacht marina, engineered with high-performance floating concrete pontoons by SF Marina of Sweden. Plans call for 180 berths total, of which 50 slips are designated for superyachts up to 295 ft (90m). Phase 1 in Q4 2025 brings Dock B with 40 berths plus a welcome station; by mid-2026 all 180 berths are anticipated structurally complete; Phase 3 in Q3 2026 is configured for yachts up to 90m with customs, immigration and digital booking; and Phase 4 in Q4 2027 adds a waterfront precinct with F&B, retail, yacht-sales offices and dedicated MICE venues. As with most large marina projects, timelines beyond Q3 2026 may slip.
