A superyacht starts at 30 metres

In charter terms a superyacht runs from about 30m (98 ft) to 90m (295 ft) — motor yachts and large motor-phinisi with cabins, saloons, sun decks, tenders and water toys. Not day boats.

Can Benoa berth a 90m superyacht?

Bali Benoa Marina broke ground on 22 May 2025: 180 berths, 50 of them for superyachts up to 90m. Capability is arriving in stages.

Q4 2025

Dock B opens with 40 berths and a welcome station.

Phase 3

Configured for yachts up to 90m, with customs, immigration and digital booking.

Q4 2027

Phase 4

Waterfront precinct: dining, retail, yacht sales and MICE venues.

Foreign-flagged owners: what to know

Sailing your own superyacht into Bali needs an Indonesian Cruising Permit — a customs temporary import of up to three years. Our licensed partners handle the filings.

  • Cruising Permit The Vessel Declaration, filed online by your agent about 48 hours before arrival.
  • Guarantee letter From a licensed Indonesian company — it replaces the old customs bond.
  • PIB & CAIT Import notice at first port and security clearance, extended in three-month steps.
  • Passports & visa Valid 180+ days; 60-day tourist visa, on arrival for most nationalities.
  • Arrival & departure Fly the Q flag until cleared at Benoa; depart via a PEB export notice.

Indicative ranges run from about USD 9,000 a day for a 30–40m yacht to USD 25,000+ for 60–90m — per yacht, plus 11% VAT and APA. Your written quote confirms the figure.

How many guests can a superyacht take for a day?

Roughly 10–24 day guests depending on the yacht. Published Indonesian listings rate a 30m for 12, a 42m for 14 and a 46m for 18.

Is the crew included?

Yes. Every superyacht charter is fully crewed — captain, deck and interior crew. Catering, water toys and extras are itemised add-ons.

How far ahead should I book?

As early as you can for 60–90m yachts and peak dates — Christmas, New Year and dry-season weekends book furthest ahead.
