Who is Azure Helm?
Azure Helm is a concierge and reservations brand focused on one thing: ultra-premium, engine-driven yacht day charters out of Benoa Harbour, Bali’s main commercial port and primary yacht gateway. Benoa handles vessels from roughly 40 metres upward and sits about 30 minutes by road from Ngurah Rai International Airport, a transit a planned flyover project is expected to shorten toward five minutes once operational.
We are deliberately narrow. Azure Helm arranges motor-yacht and superyacht day charters for sunsets, proposals, birthdays and corporate events. We do not run sailing charters, multi-day liveaboard cruises, phinisi heritage voyages, budget mixed-fleet boats, or Komodo and Flores itineraries. If your plan needs one of those, we will say so and point you elsewhere rather than sell you the wrong boat.

Do you own the yachts?
No, and we think saying so clearly is part of a genuinely premium service. Where a yacht is not owned by us, it is arranged via vetted licensed partners who own and operate the vessel. Our role is to shortlist the right yacht for your group size, occasion and route, negotiate the quote, and manage the booking and on-the-day logistics as your single point of contact.
Being honest about that structure matters because it sets accurate expectations:

What about paperwork and permits?
Most guests booking a crewed local day charter simply arrive, board and cruise. The heavier regulatory layer applies to foreign private yachts entering Indonesian waters, which require an Indonesian Cruising Permit (locally the “Vessel Declaration”) and a customs temporary-import permit valid up to three years. Under post-3-December-2011 rules, a licensed Indonesian company provides a guarantee letter in place of the old customs bond, and the appointed agent typically files online about 48 hours before arrival. If your charter touches any of this, we work with licensed partners to handle it — we do not improvise regulatory advice.
